The competition is held in two categories:
1. Top-fermented beer
2. Bottom-fermented beer
The beer style of individual entries is not limited, but the condition is the use of at least 50% by weight of Kazbek hops for beer hopping. For cold hopping (including whirlpool additions), only Czech hop varieties may be used.
Beers will be evaluated through a blind tasting conducted by a professional committee consisting of representatives of participating breweries and specialists in the fields of hop growing and brewing. The evaluation format (1 or 2 rounds, finals) will depend on the number of submitted samples.
The main criteria will be pleasant and balanced taste, aroma, bitterness, aftertaste, overall preference of the evaluated beer.
Entry is free of charge.

A test batch of beer according to the winner's recipe in the experimental brewery of Hop Research Institute
