On March 20–21, 2026, the General Assembly of the Czech-Moravian Association of Microbreweries took place in Zvíkov alongside the prestigious tasting competition „Spring Prize of Czech Brewers“. Bohemia Hop, a long-standing supporter and contributing member of the association, once again actively participated in this important event and supported its organization.
On March 25, 1991, BOHEMIA HOP, a.s. was officially registered in the Commercial Register.
According to the company’s founding charter dated March 18, 1991, its mission was to make a significant contribution to the prosperity of Czech and Slovak hop growing—primarily through the efficient sale of hops on both global and domestic markets, the introduction of progressive methods in hop cultivation and processing, and the provision of modern machinery, technologies, fertilizers, and crop protection products through imports.
On the occasion of 100 years of hop research in Bohemia and Moravia, the Hop Research Institute has published a new comprehensive monograph entitled “HOP GROWING – cultivation, properties and use of hops.”
The team of authors, led by Ing. Karel Krofta, Ph.D., consists mainly of researchers from the Hop Research institute Žatec, complemented by experts from leading Czech universities, including the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, and Charles University Prague.
The results of the third annual Czech Beer Vision 2025 competition, organized by the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting (RIBM) in cooperation with the Hop Research Institute, were announced on January 22, 2026, in Žatec. The main coordinator of the event was Jana Olšovská on behalf of the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting, and the lecture program featured Zdeněk Rosa (Bohemia Hop, a.s.), Vladimír Nesvadba (Hop Research Institute s.r.o.), Petra Kubizniaková (RIBM), Rastislav Boško (RIBM), and Martin Slabý (3+K Kraus s.r.o.).

Bohemia Hop, a.s., a subsidiary of CHMELAŘSTVÍ, družstvo Žatec and the largest Czech hop trading company, won 3rd place in the main category of medium‑sized companies in the Exporter of the Year 2025 competition. The award for export growth in 2023–2024 was received on December 15 in the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic by Chairman of the Board Mgr. Zdeněk Rosa.
