The finalists of the Pilsner Urquell Master Bartender competition in cooperation with BOHEMIA HOP enjoyed on September 9th a beautiful hoppy day. Mr. Zdenek Rosa welcomed the participants at hop farm in Mutejovice with first information about hop harvest and with a visit of current hop picking and hop drying technologies. The high point of the day was hand picking of Saaz hops inside a hop field which showed that the hop cones of this year were small but still the bartdenders managed to pick enough for brewing a several hectolitres of premium Czech lager. The next stop was Zatec and Hop and beer temple followed by a guided visit of Hop museum in Zatec. We are very glad that we could show the people that work with beer every day its most important part – Saaz hops.
