From April 16-20, 2024, the 34th International Beer Festival took place at the Zahrada Čech Exhibition Center in Litoměřice, supported by Bohemia Hop, a.s. The absolute winner of this year's event in the World Beer Seal 2024 category was Pivovar Svijany, a.s., with their Svijanský Baron 15% beer. In the Czech Beer Seal 2024 category, Pivovar Trilobit took first place with their Trilobit light lager.
More than 300 judges tasted 1,135 samples. Anyone who thought that only beer was judged would be mistaken. The competition also awards prizes in several categories of ciders and mineral waters. Of course, the most extensive category is beer, whether it be light beer, draft, or premium, light, amber, or dark, lager, ALE, wheat, or stout. It also distinguishes whether the beer comes from large breweries or microbreweries. This year's festival saw participation from 155 breweries from 15 countries around the world. Awards were presented on Saturday, April 20, in a total of 42 categories. The results are available on the link following this article.
On Friday and Saturday, there is also a public part of the event, where a wide selection of beers is available thanks to the active participation of Czech breweries.
