The Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture (CISTA/UKZUZ) updated data on acreage of hop varieties in the Czech Republic as of April 30, 2025. As of this date, the hop harvest area is registered at 4,815.9 hectares, representing a year-on-year decrease of 0.6 % (compared to August 20, 2024, when it was 4,844.8 hectares). Compared to the last year, the area of hop fields in the Saaz hop-growing region decreased by 21.6 hectares (-0,58 %). The area of ​​the fine aroma Saaz hops decreased by 25.6 hectares (i.e. by 0.64%) to the current 3954.2 hectares.
