The first growers started harvesting around August 17th. However, the promise of rainfall during the week convinced some growers to postpone their harvest by about a week. Consequently, we can say that by the beginning of next week, the harvest will be in full swing across all regions. This year, hops are being harvested across an area of 4,783.9 hectares, according to official data from CISTA as of August 20, 2026. Saaz remains the most widely grown variety and will be harvested from a total area of 3,939.5 hectares during the first weeks of the harvest. Hop warehouses are ready to receive dried hops from all locations, and we will gradually obtain more precise information regarding yields and alpha acid content.
