Bohemia Hop participated in the exhibition Salon du Brasseur 2023 in Nancy on 20-21 October. As a member of the Czech stand arranged by the Czech Trade agency in France, we presented together with 4 other Czech companies, but our company stood for raw materials - particularly Czech hops - as the only one. During two days of exhibition, almost 190 exhibitors showed up in one hall. We were delighted to meet the deputy of the Czech ambassador in France Mrs. Radka Bordes who visited us on the first day of the event and supported our endeavor to succeed in the French market.
Bohemia Hop welcomed dozen Brazilian brewers within the framework of incoming mission from Brazil. The mission was accompanied by Filip Vavrinek from the Czech Embassy in Brazil and Iva Vondraskova from the Czech Ministry of Agriculture. During the five-day programme, the participants of the mission spent one whole day in Saaz region. Lectures on the current state of hop growing were given by Zdeněk Rosa, chairman of Bohemia Hop. Jan Podsednik familiarized the brewers with Czech hop varieties and showed them premises of the hop packing plant. Bohemia hop also organized a visit of the hop farm of The Hop Research Institue in Steknik where the brewers were able to see ongoing harvest. For most of them, it was the first experience of hop harvest.
A great success was also the visit of the Žatec microbrewery Pioneer, which was led by the brewer and owner Michal Havrda.
