August was once again warmer than average. The average monthly temperature was 1.4°C above the long-term average. During the first half of the month, the period of summer and tropical days continued until 16 August. The highest temperature of 38°C was recorded on 4 August. A total of eight tropical days were recorded during August, which was one more than in July.
